Unit Aim
This unit aims to develop learners’ knowledge and skills about the different career options and progression opportunities in travel and tourism. The learner will plan for a chosen career option and produce an application. The learner will also take part in an appropriate job interview.

1. Understand types of careers in travel and tourism
1.1 Describe different career options in travel and tourism
1.2 Describe progression routes and opportunities in different travel and tourism career options

- transferability between employers/roles

- training, qualifications and experience needed

Assessment requirement:
Learners must:

o progression routes and opportunities for a minimum of two career options, including the list in the range produce a bibliography. Learners may work in a group for research activities.
However, each learner must demonstrate their individual contribution and produce an individual summary of their work supported by an assessor observation record.

- produce a bibliography.
