Guidelines:

Please include all of the following:

Task 1: CV and Cover Letter (Word Count 1000 +/- 10%)

  • Create a cover letter to support a job application (Limited to 1 page maximum)
  • Create a CV (within 2 pages maximum) which should include the following content:
  • Personal profile
  • Education
  • Qualifications
  • Employment history
  • Key skills
  • Personal interests and achievements –

Task 2: Effective Meetings (Word Count 750 +/- 10%)

Based on a recent meeting you have attended/participated, please address the following

  • Table of contents to support the meeting
  • Date, time, venue, attendees, and Chairperson of meeting
  • Agenda items of the meeting
  • Purpose and objectives of the meeting
  • A description of the role of the participants at the meeting.

(Note – This can be a real-life meeting or based on a fictious/hypothetical scenario).

‘A portfolio or collection of work is a collection and/or selection of pieces of work produced by the learner over a period of time that demonstrates achievement of a range of learning outcomes. The collection may be self-generated or may be generated in response to a particular brief or tasks/activities devised by the assessor.’

Guidelines:

A Collection of Work piece will be devised by each candidate which is based on an Organisational Profile (please nominate your organisation).

Please include all of the following:

Task 1: Organisation Profile (Word Count 1000 +/- 10%)

  1. Provide a description of an organisation of your choice, including their Mission Statement, and outline the reasons for your decision.
  2. Identify and provide an overview of the company’s organisational structure.
  3. Include an organisational chart showing the relationships between the departments of the organisation to support your answer.
  4. Provide a description of the departments and functions of the organisation.
  5. Discuss the external factors influencing the organisation.

Task 2: Team Development and Effective Communication (Word Count 1000 +/- 10%)

  1. Discuss the four stages of team development within an organisation
    (i) Forming,
    (ii) Storming,
    (iii) Norming,
    (iv) Performing.
  2. Provide an overview of how an organisation can influence effective communication in the workplace.
