Discussion – Data Analysis Plan Draft
Purpose
This assignment is intended to help you receive feedback on your data analysis plan.
Overview
There are a couple of options on how you can write this section. You may use the chart,
the narrative, or both (preferred). Remember, we want at least one citation to support
your major outcome measures and an explanation of how you will calculate the results.
We do not use statistics that require variables, power analysis, sample, or hypotheses (i.e.,
t-test, Chronbach alpha, Mann Whitney). Instead we look for count, %, % change, and so
on.
NOTE: These tables use balancing measures but they aren't always appropriate. Typically
we will use countermeasures or financial measures. The more details you have (measures),
the better your evaluation.

Increase medication
adherence to RAS-

Increase in the
proportion of days
covered (PDS) to 80%
Calculation of PDC:
Sum of days covered in
the period of

1. 95% patients
agreement to virtual

Calculation:
Number of patients

2. 80% of patients

screening tool.
Calculation:
Number of patients
who complete the
screen / total number of
patient attempts x 100
Outcome Measure Analysis
1. Increase medication adherence
a. Medication adherence, per CMS, is defined through the proportion of days covered
(PDC). It is the sum of the days covered in a period of interest/number of days in the
period of interest x 100 (CMS, 2019). Data will be collected pre and post intervention.
Compliance will be measured at a rate of 80% or more.
b. Data will be collected on the number of virtual visits / the total number of outreach x
100. Compliance will be measured at a rate of 80% or more.
2. Case Management Follow-up
Data on the number of patients who successfully complete HRST and receive screening / total
number of patients with outreach provided x 100. Compliance will measure at a rate of 8
